Well, you’ll have to forgive me, but this baby might decide to be born any minute now, so I’m trying to get a bit of a jump start on things this year.So you can stop throwing things at me.I’ve done these advent calendars for Kennedy with little mini gifts for each day for the last couple of years and of course, it’s always a big hit.

What kid (or person) wouldn’t love that?I think it’s not so much about what’s inside as it is about the fact that I took the time to put it together for her and bring a little extra fun to each day for her as Christmas approaches.

This year, I came up with the easiest, most brilliant and fun idea for what’s inside the advent calendar ever.

Really, I’m so excited about it.One type of weed that we have, I think it’s called Hedgewood Bindweed, is supposed to take about 8 months to use up all the energy it has stored, but the recommended smotheration time is about 3 years to be sure..

So that’s the plan of attack.I’m feeling pretty good about it.

Meanwhile, we’re still having a heck of a time keeping up with the weeds in the other half.. For the record, even with all of my weed killing strategies this year, I’m still kind of a wild flower/weed lover at heart..
